About me

My childhood dream was to become an inventor — the ones you see in the movies. I stored every stray nut and bolt I found in a shoebox, certain I'd need it someday, and took things apart (to my parents’ frustration) to see how they worked. It wasn't a skill yet. It was just where my curiosity went.

Turns out there's a discipline built on exactly that — pulling something apart, understanding every piece, and putting it back together as something that makes sense. That's UX: someone hands you a mess, and you get to find the story hiding inside it.

I'm especially drawn to the software that has a reputation for being complicated — the stuff nobody's fully figured out yet. I like sitting in that ambiguity, working with the kind of end users and edge cases that force you to get comfortable with nuance. It's a good reminder that the "human" in human-computer interaction is the whole point.

I am currently in Seattle, studying Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, after receiving a B.S. in Cognitive Science at UC Irvine. Outside of work: I'll eat almost anything (except celery), I'll build you a playlist whether you asked or not, and you can usually find me hiking, bouldering, or on a basketball court — with Sunday Chargers games nonnegotiable :)
